Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering. It is also referred to as the ‘mother’ branch of engineering. This department has made its present felt all across the country in both the private and public sector undertakings. The diploma engineers produced by this department have been serving in various industries in the fields of automobiles, fasteners, tool designing, machine tools production, railways, metro, power plants and various manufacturing and service industries.
The department has shown a consistent improvement in academic results across all semesters.
Remedial classes were conducted regularly for academically weaker students, resulting in significant performance improvement.
Faculty members adopted flipped classroom and smart classroom techniques, as well as CAD software, for enhanced learning.
The department actively conducts internal assessments, quiz competitions, and model tests to strengthen conceptual understanding.
Final-year students (Batch: 2022–25) were successfully placed in reputed companies.
Conducted expert lectures on topics like Automation & Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The Mechanical Engineering Department organized various industrial visits during the academic year to provide students with practical exposure and real-world insights into engineering applications.
These visits aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practices, enhancing students' understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, thermal applications, and automation technologies.
Final-year students presented major projects in inter-college tech fests (Sonipat).
