Mechanical engineering is one of the
oldest branches of engineering. It is also referred to as the ‘mother’ branch of
engineering.This department has made its present felt all across the country in both the private and
public sector undertakings. The diploma engineers produced by this department have been serving in
various industries in the fields of automobiles, fasteners, tool designing, machine tools production,
railways, metro, power plants and various manufacturing and service industries.
The department has well qualified and experienced faculty. It has also
on its panel, a galaxy of reputed academicians and professionals who have been visiting the departments
from time to time to deliver expert lectures and expose the students to real life experiences of
mechanical engineering field.

The department has been equipped with all kinds of facilities
required for Mechanical engineering such as all standard labs, workshop
The labs under this department are well equipped.The students are
first made conversant with the working of CNC machines in the department.
The students are taken on industrial visits to various industries
where they are given training on CNC trainer Lathe machine and CNC training milling machine.
The department has also arranged the lectures on CAD for Mechanical
engineering 2nd and final year students with the help of some private agency which has good
experience in the said field.
