From the Desk of Principal

It is my immense pleasure to welcome you to Chhotu Ram Polytechnic, a constituent institute of Jat Education Society, (Regd.) Rohtak, that has the distinction of being a unique and the foremost polytechnic institute in the region, established in 1956, having a glorious past of about 67 years post independence. This institute of technical learning has immensely contributed to nation-building by providing potential and dynamic talent possessing analytical, practical and managerial skills.
 

The institute offers 3-year engineering diploma programmes in six disciplines, i.e., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Plastic Technology. All the engineering programmes are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi, and affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education, Haryana. The admission to the various diploma programmes is made through state-level entrance examination/merit of marks in the qualifying exam through the Haryana State Technical Education Society, Panchkula.

In the late 1990’s, the institute took a significant turnaround during the implementation of a World Bank assisted project of modernization with garnering state-of-art infrastructure in terms of buildings, laboratories, computer centre, conventional cum digital library, smart classrooms, gymnasium hall, powerhouse, water booster, and boys and girls hostels.
 

In the institute, apart from the pursuit of academic excellence in the engineering and technical skills, the co-curricular activities such as sports, NCC, cultural events, adventure clubs, and social and national services form a vital ingredient, leading to the all-round development of the overall persona of the students. The competent faculty of the institute helps the students in developing their overall personality to face the challenges at the global level and come out with the optimum solutions to meet their high aspirations of looking forward to a better workplace. This is a unique institute in the way that its performance and achievements are being continuously regulated and audited by society at large.
 

The students of this institute have infiltrated into various sectors be it government, private corporate or public sectors to serve the nation in various capacities.The institute extends a warm invitation to the organisations/companies to visit the campus for human resource par excellence.We have a strong belief that given an opportunity, the budding engineers of this great institute of learning will prove to be an asset to the recruiting organisations. Also, we are looking forward to mutual association and collaboration with the industries at various levels, such as guest lectureships, laboratory mentorships, joint workshops and projects, and we would highly appreciate industry participation in this assiduous endeavour.
